Romain Saïss Returns to Training After Long Absence

Express TV: Mustapha Filali

Moroccan international Romain Saïss, defender for Qatari club Al Sadd, has returned to group training after a four-month absence due to a severe ankle injury.

Saïss shared photos from his first training session post-recovery on Instagram, commenting: “It has been a long phase, but we are finally back on the pitch after four months. This is just the beginning… believe me. Thank God.”

The player had to undergo a delicate surgery following an injury sustained during a training session with his team in late January, which sidelined him from both local and international competitions for the past few months.

Saïss’s return to training is a strong boost for Al Sadd and opens the door for his potential return to the Moroccan national team during upcoming competitions, especially since he is considered a key defensive element in the national lineup.
