Several Palestinian students residing in Morocco expressed their deep gratitude on Thursday to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Head of the Al-Quds Committee, following his royal directives to send urgent humanitarian and medical aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip.
In statements to the Moroccan News Agency, the students said that this step reflects the unwavering positions and continuous support that the King has consistently shown for the Palestinian people, especially in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions in the region.
Abdullah Na’im Yusuf Al-Nabi, a PhD student at Mohammed V University, described the royal initiative as a practical embodiment of solidarity, noting that this movement adds to a series of previous initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of the people of Gaza by providing food and medical supplies.
For her part, Hala Salama Hamad Al-Masalma, a student at the same university, praised this initiative, considering it an extension of Morocco’s steadfast positions on the Palestinian cause. She added that this gesture is not surprising, but rather reflects the deep official and popular Moroccan solidarity with Palestine.
Palestinian student Ahmad Al-Buhaysi also confirmed that the King’s directives strengthen the Kingdom’s leading role in supporting just causes, while Faris Mohammed Farij, a student at the Faculty of Medicine in Rabat, pointed out that the royal initiative includes not only the provision of material aid but also moral support and the inclusion of Palestinian students residing in Morocco.
The students also took the opportunity to extend their congratulations to His Majesty the King and the Moroccan people on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of his ascension to the throne, expressing their pride in the brotherly and humanitarian ties that unite the Moroccan and Palestinian peoples.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Head of the Al-Quds Committee, had ordered the urgent dispatch of humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza, totaling approximately 180 tons. This includes essential food supplies, milk and specific items for children, as well as medicines, surgical equipment, blankets, tents, and other resources for the most vulnerable groups.
