Ouarzazate takes a prominent position in the upcoming edition of the book "Fundamentals of Modern Marketing – Morocco," thanks to its local brand VisitOuarzazate, which has been selected by Kotler Impact Inc. as one of the key models representing territorial marketing in Morocco.

This selection reflects the city’s growing dynamism and affirms its status as an authentic Moroccan tourist destination, distinguished by its cultural and heritage diversity, blending history and innovation in its marketing approach.

VisitOuarzazate relies on an ambitious vision rooted in a renewed approach to territorial marketing, highlighting rich local stories that capture the city’s spirit and making them accessible to a broad global audience.

Imane Saber, President of the Regional Tourism Council in Ouarzazate, insists that the VisitOuarzazate brand is not just a tourism identity, but a cultural and narrative project that carries a human and aesthetic message, linking local memory to the world.

The city is preparing for a new phase of tourism development, which includes reopening several hotel units after their refurbishment, as part of a public-private partnership and in alignment with the new directions of the Ministry of Tourism.

Ouarzazate also benefits from national programs such as Cap Hospitality and Go Siyaha, which support investment and stimulate the attractiveness of the tourism offering, serving as an important foundation for improving service quality and expanding the visitor base.

The Rising Ouarzazate plan, launched by the Moroccan National Tourism Office, reinforces this path by repositioning the city as a unique destination that combines the allure of the desert, the richness of cinematic heritage, and the depth of cultural experiences.

Saber emphasizes the need to enhance the city’s air connectivity to major global capitals, allowing Ouarzazate to achieve its place as an international tourism hub.

This momentum is directly supported by the regional governor of Ouarzazate, who backs various promotional initiatives, including a visit from a media delegation from the Associated Press, which produced a series of reports on the city’s tourism and cultural assets, further enhancing its international visibility.
