Jerada: New Support for Eight Youth Projects Under the National Initiative for Human Development

Follow-up

Yesterday, Wednesday, the headquarters of the Jerada province witnessed the delivery of modern equipment and devices for eight young project holders. This initiative is part of the National Initiative for Human Development’s efforts to support entrepreneurship and enhance the economic integration of youth.

This operation coincided with the 26th anniversary of the Throne Day, and was overseen by the province’s governor, Chakib Belkaid, in the presence of elected officials, civil and military authorities, and local community figures. It reflects the initiative’s commitment to supporting self-employment and achieving economic independence for young people.

Jalal Taqmouti, head of the Social Affairs Department in Jerada, explained that the initiative falls under the entrepreneurship axis of the income improvement and economic integration program, which is one of the core components of the third phase of the National Initiative. He noted that the operation aims to empower youth to create income-generating projects through comprehensive support that includes guidance, training, and financial assistance.

Taqmouti indicated that the number of projects benefiting from this initiative in 2025 reached 34, with a total cost approaching 3.5 million dirhams, with beneficiaries contributing 10 percent. The value of equipment granted today to the eight project holders was 800,000 dirhams.

The supported projects varied between printing, traditional crafts, technical maintenance, agriculture, and visual arts, reflecting the diversity of youth initiatives and their potential to be integrated into a local economic fabric capable of creating wealth.

Faiza Raqia, a young self-employed entrepreneur in the fields of printing and decor, expressed her gratitude for the support that enabled her to acquire advanced machinery, allowing her to expand her business and train young women in the same field. She affirmed that the training she received at the youth platform helped her overcome many obstacles.

On his part, mural artist Mustafa Moussa explained that obtaining a modern professional machine through the initiative marked a turning point in his artistic journey, as it now allows him to execute murals exceeding 10 meters in height. This opens up new horizons for expanding his work both locally and beyond the province, enabling the involvement of other young talent in this form of creativity.

This initiative comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the National Initiative for Human Development aimed at enhancing job opportunities and promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, through an approach based on guidance, mentorship, and technical and financial support, in line with the High Royal Directives.
