The Moroccan Ambassador to Jordan, Fouad Akhreef, highlighted the ongoing dynamism observed in Morocco in the areas of democracy and comprehensive development, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, during an official celebration in Amman marking the 26th anniversary of the Throne Day.
Akhreef, accompanied by Jordan’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Nancy Namroqa, and various diplomatic and civil-military figures, confirmed that the Kingdom has made significant strides in political reforms and reinforcing national identity, alongside launching major development projects and social programs aimed at promoting cohesion and enabling citizens to access basic services.
On the external front, he noted that Morocco, under the King’s leadership, has solidified its position as a reliable regional and international partner, through effective diplomacy that supports the Kingdom’s territorial integrity. He pointed out the ongoing expansion of supporters for Morocco’s stance on the Sahara and the Moroccan autonomy initiative, commending Jordan’s steadfast position on this issue.
Akhreef also emphasized the strength and resilience of Moroccan-Jordanian relations, which he described as a model for Arab-Arab cooperation, based on bonds of brotherhood and continuous consultation on regional issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. The two monarchs play a complementary role in supporting Jerusalem, through King Mohammed VI’s presidency of the Al-Quds Committee and the Hashemite custodianship held by King Abdullah II.
