Establishment of the Local Branch of the National Association of Temporary Workers at the Ministry of Equipment and Water in Tiznit
The Educational and Cultural Center in Tiznit hosted the founding general assembly of the local branch of the National Association of Temporary Workers at the Ministry of Equipment and Water on Thursday, July 25, 2025. The event saw a significant turnout of temporary workers and various union and community figures.
The meeting concluded with the election of Abdellah Darwish as the president of the local branch, an organizational step described by the organizers as symbolic, given its implications for the launch of a new dynamic aimed at unifying this group within the sector.
This establishment is part of the national association’s strategy to expand its organizational base across various regional and provincial directorates, with the goal of enhancing coordination among temporary workers and safeguarding their professional and social rights after years of marginalization.
During the meeting, the association emphasized its readiness to engage in serious and responsible dialogue with the Ministry of Equipment and Water to find equitable solutions for the situation of temporary workers and to enable them to attain their legitimate rights within a constructive partnership.
It also stressed its commitment to continue opening new organizational branches in various regions over the coming weeks to align with the aspirations of its members and strengthen their structured presence within the ministry’s framework.
