Algerian news agency reported that Renaissance Berkane has finalized the signing of winger Ameen Al-Azri from Nahda Zemamra on a three-year contract, announced last Wednesday evening.
Al-Azri’s move to the Berkane team came after strong competition from several clubs in the professional league, primarily Raja and Wydad, but the offer from Renaissance Berkane tipped the scales in their favor in the race to sign the player.
This signing aims to strengthen the attacking line of the Berkane team in preparation for the upcoming football season, particularly after Al-Azri’s impressive performance last season with Nahda Zemamra, where he participated in 32 matches, scored 9 goals, and provided 5 assists, establishing himself as one of the rising stars in the Moroccan league.
The player arrived in the city of Berkane last Tuesday to finalize the deal, while his negotiations with Raja faltered due to a halt in talks with the previous management without any movement from the current office.
Renaissance Berkane is expected to officially announce the signing in the coming hours as part of their active efforts to strengthen the squad with distinguished players in preparation for the new season.
