Turkish media reports indicate that Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat is close to returning to Serie A next season, having previously enjoyed successful stints in the league with Hellas Verona and Fiorentina.
According to these sources, Fenerbahçe’s sporting director, Veysel Çetinkaya, is currently in Italy to negotiate with Atalanta’s management, which has shown significant interest in acquiring Amrabat during the current summer transfer window.
The estimated value of the deal is around €20 million, while the Italian club is keen to reduce the asking price. Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe remains firm in its financial demands, especially with other European clubs also interested in the Moroccan player’s services.
The same reports confirm that Amrabat is open to returning to a league he knows well, noting that his strong relationship with Croatian coach Ivan Juric could be decisive in his decision, especially as he previously worked under him at Hellas Verona and holds him in high regard.
