A A

The Ukrainian Air Force announced today, Friday, that Ukrainian air defense forces shot down and intercepted 365 out of 371 missiles and drones launched by Russia over the course of the night.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force’s press service, Russian forces launched attacks using 363 Shahed-type attack drones and various other models (including 200 Shahed drones), in addition to two Khinzal ballistic missiles and six Kalibr cruise missiles, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

The statement added that the attack was repelled by air defense units, electronic warfare units, drone units, and mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Air Force and air defense forces.

It was noted that the Russian attack targeted the town of Staro Konstantinov.

It is worth mentioning that Russia has intensified its missile and drone attacks in response to an attack carried out by Ukraine using drones on airports deep within Russian territory on the first of this month, which resulted in the destruction of 40 military aircraft.

The Ukrainian intelligence agency indicated that about 34% of Russian bombers capable of launching cruise missiles have been destroyed.

According to the agency’s estimates, the value of the bombers that were destroyed or damaged amounts to approximately 7 billion dollars.
