Donald Trump criticizes Israel and Iran: Both violated the ceasefire agreement
U.S. President Donald Trump has accused both Israel and Iran of violating the ceasefire announced earlier, indicating his dissatisfaction with the actions of both parties, especially Israel.
In a press statement before departing to attend the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump clarified that the conflict between Israel and Iran has been ongoing in a futile manner, asserting that both sides “do not know what they are doing.”
Trump confirmed that Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been completely eliminated and that it will not be able to rebuild its nuclear program in the future.
In a post on his platform Truth Social, Trump issued a warning to Israeli leaders, stating, “Do not drop these bombs, and if you do, it will be a severe violation. Return your pilots immediately.” He added that Israel has carried out its operation and should remain calm, emphasizing that the ceasefire is still in effect.
Trump also criticized the American media, describing some outlets as “fake,” accusing CNN of spreading misleading news regarding the effectiveness of the American strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities.
Axios reported that Trump contacted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asking him to completely retreat from executing attacks on Iran. However, Netanyahu informed him that “cancelling the operation is no longer possible,” and that Israel has opted to reduce the scale of the attack while canceling the targeting of many pre-determined objectives.
According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, the conversation between Trump and Netanyahu resulted in a limited attack targeting a “symbolic target” near Tehran, with the Israeli military radio stating that the attack struck an Iranian radar.
Israeli media reported that the ceasefire between the two sides came into effect, with security sources confirming that “it is over.”
Earlier, Trump announced a comprehensive ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, which went into effect at 7 AM Mecca time, lasting 12 hours in its initial phase, paving the way for a formal announcement of the end of the war later.
In response, Israel announced the interception of two missiles launched from Iran after the ceasefire took effect, while Iranian media denied these claims, labeling them as “false.”
