Meteorological authorities have warned of a heatwave with temperatures ranging from 33 to 46 degrees Celsius in several regions of Morocco.
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts that a heatwave will occur from today, Monday, until next Friday, with temperatures expected to vary between 33 and 46 degrees Celsius in various parts of the kingdom.
In an orange-level alert bulletin, the agency indicated that temperatures are expected to reach between 43 and 46 degrees from Monday to Friday in the provinces of Taroudant, Tata, Zagora, Assa-Zag, Smara, Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab, and Awsard.
Additionally, temperatures between 41 and 44 degrees are anticipated today, Monday, through Tuesday in the regions of Sidi Qasim, Sidi Slimane, Larache, Kenitra, Wazan, Khmissat, Salé, Temara-Skhirat, Mediouna, Nouacer, Berrechid, Settat, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Fquih Ben Salah, Qalaat Sraghna, Rahamna, Marrakech, Sidi Ben Nour, Guelmim, Youssoufia, and Chichaoua.
According to the same source, temperatures today are expected to reach between 33 and 38 degrees in the regions of Rabat, Mohammedia, Casablanca, El Jadida, Essaouira, Safi, Al Haouz, Settat, Khouribga, Inzegane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, and within the Tanger-Assilah region.
The Directorate also forecasts temperatures ranging from 41 to 44 degrees on Wednesday in the same provinces mentioned earlier: Sidi Qasim, Sidi Slimane, Wazan, Khmissat, Khouribga, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Fes, Meknes, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Qalaat Sraghna, Rahamna, Marrakech, and Settat.
