The most representative unions have received an official invitation from the National Committee for Pension System Reform, headed by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, to hold a meeting on July 17 to discuss the pension file.

According to a union source, this meeting will be dedicated to presenting the government’s general vision regarding the reform of pension funds, in addition to clarifying the methodology it intends to follow in this social initiative. The meeting will include general discussions with the participation of various relevant stakeholders.

The government aims to involve the unions in this process since taking office, consistent with its approach of adopting extensive consultations before making decisions on major social issues, particularly concerning pension reform, which is one of the most sensitive topics for the unions.
