Royal Moroccan Airlines Expands Its Flight Network and Upgrades Its Fleet in Preparation for Summer 2025

Royal Moroccan Airlines Expands Its Flight Network and Upgrades Its Fleet in Preparation for Summer 2025
A A

Royal Air Maroc has strengthened its flight program in anticipation of the return of Moroccan expatriates for the summer season of 2025, offering an exceptional deal that includes over 6.6 million seats, an increase of more than 700,000 seats compared to the summer of 2024, connecting its network to 95 global destinations.

This program is part of the company’s strategy to enhance Morocco’s position as a major air hub and facilitate travel for Moroccan communities and international tourists.

In response to increasing demand, the national airline has launched four new routes connecting Morocco to São Paulo, Beijing, Toronto, and Catania, and has also expanded its domestic network with a new route linking Rabat and Dakhla. Additionally, the Moroccan presence in the United Kingdom has been bolstered with the introduction of a new direct and regular flight from London Stansted Airport, joining existing routes from Heathrow and Gatwick, along with a direct route to Manchester.

On the African continent, the airline has expanded its presence by adding two weekly flights to Nouakchott, bringing the total to nine weekly flights, and increasing connections to Dakar to two daily flights. Direct flights will also operate between Casablanca and the cities of Málaga, Valencia, Lisbon, and Porto, utilizing Boeing 737 and Embraer aircraft to reduce travel time and enhance comfort and safety.

To implement this program effectively, Royal Air Maroc has leased four modern aircraft from well-known global companies, including one long-haul aircraft based in Casablanca and three medium-haul planes stationed in Tangier, Nador, and Oujda. These aircraft have been carefully selected according to the highest quality and safety standards in air transport.

Simultaneously, the number of leased aircraft this season has decreased due to the integration of eight new planes into the company’s fleet, including two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners for long-haul flights and six Boeing 737 MAX 8 for medium-haul services.

In a move aimed at improving the travel experience, Royal Air Maroc has restructured its flight schedules through the Casablanca hub. Night flights to Europe (Paris, Brussels, Milan, Bologna, London…) will allow seamless connections to other destinations, while daytime flights will cater to African routes such as Dakar, Abidjan, Bamako, Lagos, and Conakry, facilitating passenger movement and providing more flexible and quality travel experiences.

Mr. Hamid Addou, the CEO of Royal Air Maroc, confirmed that this program “reinforces the company’s commitment to making travel smoother and more enjoyable, providing the best services, particularly for Moroccans abroad, by mobilizing all teams to ensure a successful summer season and guarantee an exceptional travel experience.”

All flights and offers are available for purchase through the company’s official website www.royalairmaroc.com, call centers, travel agencies, and the national network of travel agencies.

With this ambitious program, Royal Air Maroc continues to strengthen its position as a major air player in Africa and worldwide, prioritizing passenger comfort at the heart of its operations.
