Inwi Launches Fiber Optic Caravan to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Morocco’s Real Estate Sector
Inwi has launched a pioneering national initiative named the “Fiber Optic Caravan,” aimed at enhancing digital transformation within Morocco’s real estate sector and encouraging professionals to integrate Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks in new residential projects.
This caravan will traverse various major economic hubs across the kingdom, carrying with it a message emphasizing the importance of high-speed internet connectivity as a lever for competitiveness and a fundamental pillar for building smart and sustainable cities.
The initiative seeks to create regional dynamics around digitization and innovation in urban development by highlighting the benefits of high-speed internet access, both in terms of residents’ quality of life and the attractiveness of new residential projects for real estate developers.
Inwi confirmed that the caravan also relies on the role of its technical teams in supporting various stakeholders by providing comprehensive assistance throughout the design and implementation phases of infrastructure, ensuring a seamless and effective integration of fiber optics from the outset.
The city of Marrakech witnessed the first stop of this caravan on June 25, featuring a meeting attended by notable figures from the construction and real estate sectors. This gathering included a roundtable discussion on the topic: “The Fiber Optic Network Generation in New Construction in Morocco: What are the Accelerating Factors?”
The meeting allowed for an exchange of views and experiences regarding available technical solutions and the growing needs of the population, as well as a discussion on the role of digital transformation in enhancing Morocco’s urban fabric.
On the sidelines of this event, a partnership agreement was signed between Inwi and the Al Omrane Group, aimed at integrating fiber optics into the design phase of future real estate projects, reflecting both parties’ commitment to meeting modern housing requirements and smart connectivity challenges.
The caravan is expected to continue its tour throughout 2025, making stops in Casablanca and Tangier, organizing practical workshops to share knowledge and encourage the rapid adoption of digital infrastructure in urban planning.
The “Fiber Optic Caravan” reaffirms Inwi’s position as a key player in the national digital transformation landscape and as a strategic partner for real estate stakeholders in establishing high-quality, reliable, and sustainable connectivity for Moroccan citizens and future cities.
