Innovation and Mediterranean cooperation unite “Technopark” and “Metropol Marseille” in Casablanca
Topics supporting innovation and enhancing social cohesion were the focus of a meeting held on Monday in Casablanca between officials from “Technopark” and “Metropol Aix Marseille Provence.” This meeting was part of an official visit by a French delegation aimed at developing a sustainable and effective Euro-Mediterranean partnership.
The meeting highlighted the partnership agreement signed in 2019 between “Technopark” and the Marseille Innovation Incubator, which has resulted in numerous joint initiatives and cooperative projects, particularly aimed at supporting Moroccan and French startups, especially those interested in accessing African markets.
Lamia Benmakhlouf, Director of “Technopark,” emphasized that since its signing, the agreement has served as a platform for supporting innovative technological projects from Moroccan and French startups. She praised the role this partnership plays in assisting members of the Moroccan diaspora wishing to establish businesses in Morocco or expand into the African continent.
For her part, Laurence Olivi, General Director of the Marseille Innovation Incubator, underlined the importance of this meeting in assessing the outcomes of projects completed under the bilateral partnership. She confirmed that the gathering also allows French startups to discover the opportunities present in the Moroccan and African markets.
This visit is part of a program running from June 29 to July 3, 2025, aimed at reinforcing tangible Mediterranean cooperation among innovators and entrepreneurs on both shores of the Mediterranean.
