Moroccan Women’s National Team Triumphs Over Malawi with a 4-2 Victory in Preparation for “CAN 2024”
The Moroccan women’s national team secured a victory against Malawi, winning 4-2 in a friendly match held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the local stadium in Kenitra.
The goals for the Atlas Lionesses came from an own goal by a Malawian player in the 40th minute, followed by Sakinah Ouzraoui scoring the second in the 43rd minute. Ibtissam Jreidi extended the lead with a third goal in the 56th minute, and Kenza Chabil rounded off the scoring with a fourth goal in the 90th minute.
This match is part of the national team’s training camp under the guidance of coach Jorge Vilda, taking place at the Mohammed VI Football Center in preparation for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, “Morocco 2024,” scheduled to be held from July 5 to 26.
The coaching staff is utilizing these matches to assess the physical and tactical readiness of the players, especially with the tournament approaching, which Morocco will host for the first time.
