Emirates Airlines suspends flights to Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iran due to regional tensions
Emirates Airlines, based at Dubai International Airport, has canceled all flights to and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iran due to recent developments in the region. The airline also announced that it will no longer accept transit passengers through Dubai heading to these countries until further notice.
Emirates Airlines stated that this decision is part of its commitment to ensuring the safety of passengers, staff, and its operations, emphasizing that it will continue to closely monitor updates. The airline apologized to affected travelers for this measure.
This escalation follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s declaration of targeting Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facility, as well as nuclear scientists and the Iranian ballistic missile program.
