Dismantling Forgery Gang in Hamburg: Police Arrest Four Members
The German federal police have launched an operation against a forgery gang in Hamburg, resulting in the arrest of four of its members.
The federal police carried out raids in the town of Bad Bramstedt that involved six properties, based on orders issued by the public prosecutor’s office in Hamburg.
The gang is suspected of being involved in the long-term forgery of documents and promoting them for commercial and criminal purposes with the aim of making financial gains.
This extensive operation is part of an investigation led by the federal police’s crime unit in Rostock, which has been tracking a case of systematic forgery of official documents since January 2024.
The federal police plan to disclose further details following the completion of ongoing investigations.
