In a bid to enhance military cooperation among African nations, Abdellatif Louidi, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, chaired discussions on Wednesday in Rabat with his Rwandan counterpart, Juvenal Marie Izamonda, in the presence of the Rwandan Ambassador to Morocco.

The signed agreement aims to bolster collaboration in several vital areas, including military training, joint exercises, logistical support, technical assistance, and the exchange of expertise in military health. The agreement also establishes a joint military committee that will periodically meet in the capitals of Rabat and Kigali to monitor the implementation of cooperation terms and develop its future prospects.

During the talks, both sides explored ways to deepen the strategic partnership between Morocco and Rwanda in military and security fields, emphasizing the pivotal role both countries play in promoting security and stability on the African continent. The discussions highlighted the King’s leading initiatives in South-South cooperation and African regional integration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the officials expressed satisfaction with the positive outcomes achieved, reiterating their shared commitment to continue strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries in military and other areas of mutual interest.
