Portugal crowned its success on Sunday evening by winning the UEFA Nations League title after defeating Spain in the final via a penalty shootout.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw in regular and extra time, necessitating a penalty shootout to determine the champion during the fourth edition of the Nations League at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Spain took the lead twice with goals from Martin Zubimendi in the 21st minute and Mikel Oyarzabal in the 45th minute. However, Portugal equalized each time with goals from Nuno Mendes in the 26th minute and the veteran Cristiano Ronaldo in the 61st minute, who left the pitch due to injury in the 88th minute.
