Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, made a special visit to the Wydad Athletic Club delegation, which is currently in a closed training camp at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora, in preparation for the team’s participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Wydad Athletic Club shared a group photo on its official page capturing the moment of Lekjaa’s visit, showing him alongside the team’s players, technical staff, and medical team, as well as the club president, Hicham Ait Manna.
The post emphasized that the visit represents a significant moment reflecting the president’s ongoing support for national clubs and his engagement with their various commitments.
The Wydad Athletic Club has been in a closed training camp since last Sunday at the national center in Maâmora, getting ready for the Club World Cup scheduled to take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
FIFA announced the selection of Landon School in Maryland as the official training camp location for Wydad during the tournament.
It is noteworthy that the draw for the Club World Cup placed Wydad Athletic Club in Group G, alongside English club Manchester City, Italian club Juventus, and Emirati club Al Ain.
