“You Will Not Dive Alone” Wins Best Documentary Award at the Douira Festival in Morocco
Oman’s documentary film “You Will Not Dive Alone” has won the Best Documentary Film award at the sixth edition of the International Douira Film Festival, held in the Kingdom of Morocco with films from around the world.
This victory highlights the participation of the Omani Film Society, which submitted two documentary films to the official competition: “The Rose’s Time” directed by Mohammed Al-Ajmi, and “You Will Not Dive Alone” directed by Fahd Al-Maimani, amidst strong competition from 24 cinematic works from various countries.
Commenting on this accolade, director Fahd Al-Maimani stated that this new award raises the film’s total to 12 international prizes, following a series of successful participations in global festivals spanning from Russia to Spain, Italy to the United States, and including Morocco and Egypt.
This achievement reflects the efforts of the Omani Film Society to support national talents and enhance Oman’s presence in the international cinematic arena by fostering cultural and artistic exchanges with various cinematic experiences worldwide.
