Justice Minister Abdellatif Wahbi welcomed Luis José Tavares Landim, the Attorney General of Cape Verde and President of the Supreme Council of the Public Ministry, at the ministry’s headquarters on Friday. Landim is visiting Morocco on an official trip accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During the meeting, the Justice Minister briefed his guest on the achievements of the Kingdom in various fields, particularly in defending human rights and reinforcing the principles of good governance. He also provided an overview of the roles undertaken by the Ministry of Justice and ongoing projects, including the modernization and digitization of the judicial administration, as well as the enhancement of infrastructure and human resources. He highlighted the significant efforts made to enrich the Kingdom’s legislative framework, pointing out key ongoing projects in this context.
The meeting also reviewed the results of cooperation between the two parties while looking ahead to future prospects, including joint efforts, training, and the exchange of experiences and best practices between the two countries. It served as an opportunity to further develop the cooperation relations between Morocco and Cape Verde in areas related to the justice sector.
For his part, the Attorney General of Cape Verde expressed the importance of these constructive meetings in elevating the standard of justice in both countries, affirming their role in strengthening bilateral relations and translating the aspirations of both sides to enhance cooperation in line with their mutual objectives on issues of common interest.
