On Saturday afternoon, the tourist police in Agadir arrested two individuals aged 21 and 31, one of whom has a criminal record, on suspicion of assaulting two foreign tourists at the city’s beach.
According to information from the Agadir Security Directorate, the incident began with a minor disagreement between the parties involved, which escalated into physical violence towards the tourists. During the altercation, one of the tourists lost his mobile phone under circumstances currently under investigation.
The swift police intervention led to the immediate arrest of the suspects at the scene, while the tourists were taken to the hospital for necessary medical attention.
The suspects have been placed in police custody by order of the competent public prosecutor, pending the completion of the judicial investigation to determine the nature of the criminal acts committed.
