The High Commission for Planning has launched a national survey on families, thirty years after the first edition.

The Commission has indicated that data collection for the national family survey will take place on the ground until the end of next September. This survey will target a sample of 14,000 households, covering both urban and rural areas across various regions of the Kingdom, marking a significant step following the first edition conducted in 1995.

The aim is to gather accurate data about the structure, organization, and dynamics of Moroccan families, as well as to understand the transformations that have occurred within this social unit and evaluate their impact on demographic, social, economic, and cultural behaviors. This research will serve as a comprehensive database to support the formulation of public policies related to social development, intergenerational solidarity, education, housing, and equal opportunities.

The Commission reiterated its commitment to ensuring the confidentiality of the personal data collected, urging Moroccan families to actively participate in this national initiative, which will contribute to a precise representation of family realities and the development of public policies that scientifically respond to the population’s needs.
