The Council of Government reviews bills concerning justice and national defense
On Monday, May 12, 2025, Aziz Akhannouch, the Prime Minister, chaired a Council of Government meeting, which was dedicated to reviewing a set of legal texts in preparation for their presentation to the ministerial council.
At the beginning of the meeting, Abdellatif Ouahbi, the Minister of Justice, presented the organic law project No. 09.25, which proposes amendments to the organic law No. 106.13 related to the status of judges. The project aims to develop the legal framework for the judiciary and enhance its independence.
The council also reviewed four draft decrees presented by Abdellatif Louddii, the Minister Delegate in charge of National Defense Administration. The first of these drafts concerns the regulation of military air navigation, while the second project addresses the amendment of the decree issued in 1965 regarding the status of military attaches and their assistants. The third project proposes a review of the monthly salary system for military personnel of the Royal Armed Forces. The fourth project concerns the modernization of the salary, nutrition, and transportation system for military personnel, alongside the accounting and administrative rules in force.
The meeting reflects the government’s commitment to revising the legal framework in the areas of justice and defense, in line with the requirements of the current phase and institutional developments.
