Moroccan U-20 Team Thrashes Tunisia with a 3-1 Victory
The Moroccan U-20 national team secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations after a dramatic late victory over their Tunisian counterparts, winning 3-1 in a match held on Wednesday afternoon during the final round of the group stage.
Ayoub Arki scored the opening goal for the national side, leading 1-0 at halftime.
After the break, the Tunisian players woke up, netting an equalizer in the 53rd minute, courtesy of Anis Doubal.
However, the team, coached by Mohammed Wahbi, managed to regain the lead, with Ismail Bakhty scoring in the 86th minute, before Jones Alabdellawi sealed the victory with a goal in the 90+2 minute.
With this result, the Moroccan youth team finished the group stage at the top of their group with 7 points, followed by Nigeria in second place with 5 points.
