Crown Prince Moulay Hassan presided over a luncheon on Wednesday at the Officers’ Club in Rabat, at the direction of King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces. This event commemorated the 69th anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Armed Forces.

According to a statement from the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, upon the arrival of Crown Prince Moulay Hassan at the Officers’ Club, he was greeted by the Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone. The Crown Prince then reviewed a formation from the General Headquarters that presented honors.

In addition to the Crown Prince’s reception by the Chief of Government, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, the Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Chief of the Third Bureau of the Royal Armed Forces, the Chief Inspector of the Royal Air Force, the Chief Inspector of the Royal Navy, and the Commander of the Rabat-Salé Military Garrison also gathered to pay their respects.

The luncheon was attended by the Head of Government, the presidents of both chambers of Parliament, several advisers, the President of the Court of Cassation, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Authority, the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation, members of the government, heads of constitutional bodies, members of the royal cabinet, senior officers of the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, and foreign military attaches accredited in Rabat, along with a number of civil and military officials.

The 69th anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Armed Forces was celebrated across various military garrisons, barracks, and units of the Royal Armed Forces. The festivities included a flag salute and the reading of the daily instructions issued by His Majesty the King to the members of the Royal Armed Forces, as well as the awarding of medals and military parades.
