The Saudi minister acknowledged the progress Morocco is making under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, emphasizing that “Morocco is making significant strides in the transport sector and has excellent plans, particularly with the hosting of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.”

Qiyuh indicated that this high-level meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views and experiences, especially since Saudi Arabia has significant expertise in railways and aviation.

In a similar statement, Qiyuh noted that the meeting also served as a chance to discuss the level of regional and international cooperation, particularly concerning organizations. He commended the Saudi official for supporting Morocco’s candidacy for membership in the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

In another context, Qiyuh praised the advanced level of Saudi Arabia’s transport sector, expressing Morocco’s desire to benefit from the Saudi experience in digital transformation and the modernization of networks and infrastructure.

The minister reiterated Morocco’s commitment to establishing an effective and sustainable strategic cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields of transport and logistics services.

He also praised the significant efforts made by Saudi Arabia to host Moroccan pilgrims under the best conditions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to form a joint committee comprising officials and experts from both ministries to activate the agreed areas of cooperation and establish a roadmap for implementing and monitoring projects of mutual interest.
