Morocco and Ivory Coast Sign Military Cooperation Agreement to Strengthen Strategic Partnership

In the context of enhancing military cooperation between Morocco and Ivory Coast, Abdulatif Loudiyi, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, received the Ivorian Minister of Defense, Tinné Berahima Ouattara, who is visiting the kingdom along with a high-level delegation. The meeting, held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the National Defense Administration’s headquarters, came in implementation of the royal directives.

The discussions culminated in the signing of a military cooperation agreement between the two countries, covering areas such as training, military health, technical assistance, and the exchange of expertise. This agreement reflects the mutual desire to strengthen strategic cooperation between Morocco and Ivory Coast.

In his statements during the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of the royal initiative aimed at transforming the Atlantic façade of Africa into a space for peace and mutual prosperity. They reiterated their commitment to implementing the terms of the agreement, which reflect the strength of the friendship and mutual respect between the two peoples.

The visit underscores the Kingdom of Morocco’s commitment to expanding its military partnerships and bilateral cooperation with countries across the African continent, thereby contributing to the enhancement of regional security and stability.
