Morocco Achieves Exceptional Tourism Performance with 5.7 Million Visitors in Four Months

Morocco recorded a remarkable tourism performance in the first four months of 2025, welcoming 5.7 million tourists—a 23% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy.

The ministry confirmed in a statement that “Morocco achieves exceptional results by receiving 5.7 million tourists by the end of April 2025, an increase of one million tourists in just four months.” It noted that these figures position the kingdom among the most dynamic tourist destinations worldwide.

In April alone, Morocco welcomed 1.7 million tourists, reflecting a 27% rise compared to the same month last year, indicating a tourist appeal that extends beyond the traditional season.

In a statement within the release, Tourism Minister Fatima Zahra Ammor expressed optimism for the tourism season’s future, stating, “One million additional visitors at the start of a normally quiet year is a strong indicator for the rest of 2025.”

The minister added that these results serve as clear evidence of the effectiveness of the tourism roadmap launched by Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which relies on the country’s unique assets and lays the groundwork for sustainable tourism growth.
