Meknes hosted the regional boxing qualifiers for the Fes-Meknes League, featuring the participation of 643 boxers on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Weigh-ins and medical examinations began at 8 a.m. The competitions will continue until Thursday, May 8, before moving to Fes for the final rounds over the weekend.

The event saw the involvement of 643 male and female boxers representing various age categories, with significant attendance from clubs affiliated with the league, showcasing fighters from different regions and towns within the area. The aim of these qualifiers is to select the best athletes to represent the region at the national championships for the 2024/2025 sports season, with hopes of securing titles on a national level.

The organization was executed under precise technical and administrative conditions, providing two rings that met international standards and ensuring safety protocols were in place. The collaboration with local authorities and the regional directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports contributed to the event’s success and smooth operation.

The competitions also served as an opportunity to discover promising young talents, who are expected to have their skills nurtured for upcoming national and international competitions on behalf of the region. The league boasts qualified personnel, including representatives, national and international judges, specialist doctors in sports medicine, and experienced sports professionals, guaranteeing its organizational and technical independence and efficiency.
