Reports: Preliminary Agreement Between Portugal and Mourinho

Turkish media reports that coach José Mourinho has reached a preliminary agreement with the Portuguese Football Federation to take charge of the national team in the upcoming period.
According to the Turkish newspaper “HT Spor,” the “Special One” has come to a preliminary understanding with the Portuguese Football Federation to lead the national team after the “Brazil of Europe” concludes their journey in the UEFA Nations League, scheduled for next June, succeeding Spaniard Roberto Martínez.
The same newspaper mentioned that the Portuguese Federation aims to finalize the deal without entering into a financial clash with Fenerbahçe, as they do not intend to pay any compensation to the Turkish club for hiring Mourinho.
It is worth noting that Mourinho has been coaching the Turkish club Fenerbahçe since July 2024 under a contract that extends until 2026.
