Four Arrested in Salé Suspected of Drug Trafficking and Forgery
Authorities from the Salé Regional Police, in coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, arrested four individuals on Monday morning, May 5. Among them are three siblings aged between 26 and 38, three of whom have prior criminal records. They are suspected of involvement in cases related to drug possession and trafficking, as well as forgery.
The suspects were apprehended in Salé, Rabat, and Temara while in possession of drugs. Searches conducted in this case revealed 2,016 pills of various narcotics, in addition to 36 grams of cocaine and a quantity of hashish.
The search operation also resulted in the seizure of a light vehicle believed to have been used to facilitate this criminal activity, as well as a sum of 1.2 million dirhams, presumed to be proceeds from drug trafficking.
The suspects have been subjected to judicial investigations overseen by the competent public prosecutor’s office, aimed at arresting any additional alleged accomplices in this criminal operation and uncovering their potential links to drug and narcotic trafficking networks.
