A number of people, including two students, two private school teachers, and two university students, were arrested in Agadir this Thursday morning on suspicion of facilitating cheating in the baccalaureate exams.
Security sources reported that the two students were caught in the act inside an examination center using advanced electronic devices connected to communication networks. Investigations led to a simultaneous operation in an apartment in the city, resulting in the arrest of the two teachers and the university students, who are suspected of providing answers to candidates in exchange for money.
The search operation yielded the seizure of mobile phones, a computer, cash, and transfer receipts, believed to be from the proceeds of this activity.
The detained individuals were placed in custody, while the two students underwent judicial inquiry procedures under the supervision of the appropriate public prosecutor’s office to uncover the details of the case and identify the actions attributed to each party.
This operation is part of the efforts of the General Directorate of National Security and Territorial Surveillance to protect the integrity of exams and promote the principle of equal opportunity among candidates.
