A Season for Accountability and Reflection… Not for Forgetting!

Kénitra Office/

Just two seasons ago, the conversation revolved around an ambitious project aimed at returning Kénitra Club to the top division and restoring the legacy of this historic team. Today, no one is discussing promotion; the focus has shifted entirely to survival. The team is no longer dreaming of the summit but rather striving to avoid the depths. This shocking shift in aspirations cannot go unnoticed.

Saving a season from relegation at the last moment is not an achievement; it is a warning. Fighting to stay afloat instead of competing for promotion signifies deep-rooted issues. This isn’t a season to forget, but a season for accountability. The Kénitra fans have the right to ask: What happened? Why did the project collapse so swiftly?

Hakim Domo, since taking over the presidency, promised to return the team to its rightful place. However, the reality today indicates a team that is faltering, lacking vision, direction, and results. In the first season, the team ascended from the amateurs, but in the following season, the dream was utterly crushed.

Where lies the problem? In management? In poor transfers? In the absence of a clear sports system? How can a team with a coach who knows the club from within and has made numerous signings fail to form a cohesive unit? The performance is lackluster, the results disheartening, and, most importantly, there is a striking absence of character.

Many questions are being raised in Kénitra, particularly regarding the fate of the club’s youth academy products. Why are they being overlooked? Why do they shine in other clubs while being sidelined here? And where are the players who contributed to the ascent? Why were they sacrificed after their achievements?

In the midst of all this, the fans remain the only shining point. The Kénitra Boys have stayed loyal despite the disappointments. They demand nothing more than a team that fights with honor. But how long can this loyalty last in the absence of a genuine sports project? How long will the public be asked to endure chaos and randomness?

Today, Kénitra Club needs a real stand. There is no room for slogans. Emotional speeches serve no purpose. What is required is clear accountability, bold decisions, and a sincere will. The club’s identity must be reclaimed, a professional system should be built, and the club must be freed from mismanagement.

Kénitra Club is not a small team fighting for survival in the second division. It is a significant name. Its history demands battling for promotion, not begging for survival.
