A Meeting to Explore Partnership Between Morocco and Egypt

The Egyptian Embassy in Morocco reported a formal meeting between Ambassador Ahmed Nihad Abdel Latif and Yasser Sobhi, Deputy Minister of Finance, with Moroccan businessmen and officials from the Chamber of Industry, Commerce, and Services in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region.

This meeting took place, according to a statement from the embassy, on the sidelines of an event organized in Rabat.

The same statement indicated that Yasser Sobhi “outlined the structural reforms implemented by the Egyptian government to support the investment climate and listened to the concerns of Moroccan investors to facilitate access to the markets of both countries and enhance communication between economic players.”

The Egyptian official also discussed “the positive results of the Egyptian-Moroccan Business Forum held on May 4 in Cairo, which was attended by over 200 companies from Morocco and Egypt across various economic sectors.”

For his part, Ahmed Nihad Abdel Latif, Egypt’s Ambassador to Morocco, emphasized during the same meeting Egypt’s interest in supporting economic and trade partnership between the two countries within a framework that achieves integration and mutual benefit, meeting aspirations for greater partnership, given the opportunities and capabilities of both countries.
