Wydad Athletic Club drew 1-1 against their rivals Raja Casablanca in a match held on Saturday evening at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, as part of the 26th round of the Professional League.
Wydad was awarded a penalty in the 16th minute after Osama Zamraoui was fouled in the area by Hilal Al-Ferdousi. Mohamed Rayhi stepped up and successfully converted the penalty.
Raja equalized through a counterattack initiated by Ayoub Mahmoud, who found Saber Bougrine, who then assisted Hussein Rahimi, who found the back of the net in the 27th minute.
After the break, both teams continued their search for a second goal with several attacks, but they lacked effectiveness.
With this result, Wydad occupies the third position in the league standings with 44 points, while Raja sits in ninth place with 38 points.
