Atlas Lions Crowned Champions at CAF U-17 Africa Cup after Defeating Mali

The Moroccan national team for players under 17 years has claimed the title of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations after overcoming Mali in the penalty shootout (4-2) following a goalless draw at the end of regular time in the final match held on Saturday.

The first half saw a stalemate, with both teams failing to create significant scoring opportunities.

In the second half, the Atlas Lions attempted to breach the Malian goal and find the net, but the final touch was elusive for the national squad.

The match concluded with a scoreless draw, leading both teams to a penalty shootout.

Luck smiled on the Moroccan team during the penalties, as goalkeeper Shoaib Belaroush saved two penalty kicks, securing the nation’s first continental title in this category.
