The 18th edition of the “Jazzablanca” Festival will take place from July 3 to 12 in Casablanca, featuring a diverse music program that brings together more than 180 artists from some of the world’s most prominent music legends.

According to a statement from the organizers, this edition will include 26 concerts with 14 artists from countries such as the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Brazil, Lebanon, Palestine, Tunisia, Algeria, Cuba, Mali, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Morocco will be represented at this artistic event by five distinguished artists: Hindi Zahra, the “Aita Mon Amour” group, the trio Majid Bekkas and Oum, along with the duo Hamid El Kasri and Mehdi Nsoli. Oum, an icon of the contemporary Moroccan music scene, will present a unique musical performance on the “Casa Anfa” stage, blending desert influences with jazz and soul in a vibrant musical experience.

In the festival’s closing ceremony, “Jazzablanca” will showcase an unprecedented creative piece, where the giants of Gnawa music, Hamid El Kasri and Mehdi Nsoli, will come together for a performance designed specifically for this edition. This project will gather artists from two different generations, each carrying their unique artistic style and extensive experience in the realm of Gnawa music.

Among the festival’s highlights, the audience will have the opportunity to see British musician Nubya Garcia, a rising star in the London jazz scene, alongside the French band “Caravan Palace,” a symbol of electro-swing music, performing on July 5. On July 10, American musician Cory Henry and his band “The Funk Apostles” will present a musical show that blends gospel, jazz, and funk on the “Casa Anfa” stage, followed by the Australian band “Parcels,” which offers indie pop music.

On July 11, the audience will discover Canadian artist Dominique Fils-Aimé, who will mix soul and jazz in her songs, which carry a strong social message.

The programming of the “Jazzablanca” Festival is divided into three main stages. From July 3 to 5, the festival will kick off with lively performances encompassing jazz, soul, and funk music. From July 6 to 9, the “21” stage will transform into a creative lab, where musical groups will present new musical experiments blending Moroccan traditions with contemporary electronic influences. Finally, from July 10 to 12, the “Casa Anfa” and “21” stages will host unique musical performances featuring global stars presenting innovative and diverse works.

This edition of the “Jazzablanca” Festival offers an exceptional opportunity to discover a wide variety of Moroccan and international musical styles, promising the audience a rich and unique musical experience.
