Signing of a Partnership Agreement between the High Commission for Planning and the Ministry of Industry and Trade

The High Commissioner for Planning, Chakib Benmoussa, and the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, signed a partnership agreement on Monday in Rabat aimed at enhancing cooperation between the High Commission for Planning and the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the field of data exchange.

This agreement serves as a practical roadmap to standardize information sharing, develop research methodologies, and foster a better understanding of economic dynamics.

The partnership seeks to support decision-making based on reliable and up-to-date data while keeping pace with the development of the industrial sector in the kingdom. It specifically stipulates conducting specialized research, exchanging data, and carrying out joint studies to support industrial strategies and promote investment.

In a statement to the press, Benmoussa emphasized the role of the High Commission in providing reliable indicators, noting that this partnership will allow for a better understanding of the evolution of the national industrial fabric and meet the information needs of various economic stakeholders.

He mentioned that this framework of cooperation will enable the structuring of data collection, analysis, and utilization processes, with respect for institutional independence and the quality of public policies.

He added that through this agreement, data will be central to public work in the industrial and trade sectors.

Mezzour stressed the importance of having accurate statistical data to formulate effective public policies, highlighting cooperation with the High Commission for Planning as a strategic lever for monitoring and evaluating industrial performance.

He indicated that both parties will work together, mobilizing the skills and capabilities of the commission, to produce more reliable data, available in a timely manner and in greater quantities, with the aim of improving public policy implementation and accelerating its pace.

It is noteworthy that the signing of this agreement confirms the shared commitment of the High Commission for Planning and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to establish close cooperation in support of the economic and social development of the kingdom.
