The activities of the Crans Montana Forum 2025 began today, Friday, in Casablanca, under the theme “International Trade in Africa Requires Maritime Safety and Security of Ports and Maritime Routes.”
This event, organized over two days, is part of a series of high-level forums planned for 2025 and 2026 in Morocco.
This significant gathering comes in the context of the strong dynamics initiated by Morocco’s rapid advancements in transport and maritime infrastructure.
The kingdom’s experience, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is at the heart of discussions during this forum, which hosts high-profile political and diplomatic figures. It also emphasizes the importance of South-South cooperation for maritime security and prosperity in Africa.
The event brings together experts and decision-makers from the business world and international maritime stakeholders around a rich and diverse agenda covering various topics, including port security, international cooperation, digitalization in the maritime sector, challenges in the African industry, and the future of the Dakhla port.
The Crans Montana Forum 2025 program includes thematic panel discussions and networking sessions, as well as a visit to the Casablanca port facilities.
Participants will focus on addressing current issues at this forum, attended by ministers and diplomatic figures, such as “new challenges for international trade in a continually threatened world,” and “the protection of ports and coastlines: new challenges.”
In this context, the program includes two high-level seminars on the topics “Enhancing International Cooperation: A Core Element in Any Maritime Security Strategy,” and “Securing Ports and Maritime Routes and the Economic Development of Regions.”
