France Celebrates Morocco at the Paris Exhibition
The Paris Exhibition, a prominent shopping and celebration event favored by the French, running from April 30 to May 11, is honoring Morocco by dedicating a Moroccan pavilion designed to serve as a true showcase of the international section, as organizers stated on Tuesday.
The Moroccan participation represents a sensory, cultural, and festive journey, highlighting the craftsmanship of Moroccan artisans over the course of 12 days. The event will feature a variety of presentations and workshops, including Arabic calligraphy, henna art, and live cooking demonstrations, offering visitors an immersive experience into Moroccan culture.
On May 9, a full day will be dedicated to celebrating Morocco in the “African Talents Village” space at the Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles.
The Arabic calligraphy workshop will provide an opportunity for the public to discover the beauty and significance of this art within the Moroccan spiritual and written heritage, while a craftsman will showcase the traditional art of metal shaping and engraving, vividly illustrating an ancient craft in the kingdom.
Another artisan will display his skills in the art of hand decoration on wood, drawing inspiration from traditional Moroccan engravings, reflecting the precision of this craft, which is an integral part of Moroccan aesthetic identity.
In the entertainment section, a henna artist will adorn visitors with traditional Moroccan designs, emphasizing this living heritage that symbolizes beauty and celebration in Moroccan culture.
The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by musical performances featuring traditional Moroccan heritage, alongside culinary arts with live cooking demonstrations that will allow visitors to taste authentic Moroccan dishes.
Exhibition director Steven Abajoli stated that the Paris Exhibition, for over 120 years, has kept pace with lifestyle trends and consumer preferences, prioritizing the desires of its visitors. He noted that the 2025 edition aims to balance authenticity with innovation while ensuring the promotion of the most sought-after leading sectors without compromising the elements that have made the exhibition successful for over a century.
In an opening article published on the event’s website, it was mentioned that the exhibition, covering more than 100,000 square meters, seeks to be a global meeting place for inspiration, innovation, and cultural exchange, serving as a rich and multifaceted platform for all brands, artisans, and entrepreneurs from France and various countries around the world.
