The Atlas Lionesses Reach the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Final

As of this evening, the Moroccan women’s national futsal team has secured its place in the final of the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations held in the Kingdom. They have also clinched a ticket to the 2025 World Cup in the Philippines, representing the African region.

This achievement for Moroccan football came after the Atlas Lionesses triumphed over the Angolan futsal team in the semi-finals of the African Cup, with a score of 5-1 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.

The first half of the match ended in a 1-1 draw before the Moroccan women’s national team showcased an impressive performance in the second half, decisively winning the game by a clear margin.

The national team previously shined in the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations for futsal “Morocco 2025,” achieving two dominant victories over Namibia (8-1) and Cameroon (7-1). They will now face Tanzania in the final of the continental competition being held in Morocco.
