The Moroccan women’s futsal team achieved an unprecedented feat by winning the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations for the first time in its history, defeating the Tanzanian team with a score of three goals to two in the final match held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
The match started strongly for the Tanzanian team, which surprised the Atlas Lionesses with two early goals, putting the Moroccan players under substantial pressure from the outset.
However, the Moroccan players managed to narrow the gap in the final seconds of the first half, before equalizing and then clinching the winning goal in the closing minutes of the game, amid a lively atmosphere created by the fans.
This victory marks the first continental title in the history of Moroccan women’s indoor football, confirming the significant progress of the national team under the leadership of coach Abdullah Sayeh.
