"Trail Amizmiz 2025".. A Sporting Adventure in the Heart of the Atlas
The Amizmiz region, located on the outskirts of Marrakech, is preparing to host a new edition of the eco-sporting race "Trail Amizmiz" on April 26 and 27 of this month. This annual event has become a blend of the joy of running, the charm of nature, and the spirit of solidarity.
Amizmiz has become a favorite destination for endurance sports and nature enthusiasts, thanks to its diverse terrains and stunning landscapes. This year, it is set to welcome hundreds of runners from Morocco and abroad for the 2025 edition of "Trail Amizmiz," which offers five varied races suitable for different ages and skill levels.
The "Trail Amizmiz 2025" program includes five diverse races catering to the varying levels of participants, starting with a 10-kilometer race, which is the ideal choice for beginners and nature walking enthusiasts. This is followed by a 20-kilometer race for intermediate runners, culminating in the 42-kilometer marathon, which presents a true challenge for long-distance lovers.
The pinnacle of challenge lies in the two long-distance races, 64 kilometers and 90 kilometers, intended for seasoned athletes due to the substantial physical effort and mental focus they require. The trails traverse forests, hills, and mountains, providing participants with a unique opportunity to discover the beauty of nature in the heart of the High Atlas and push their personal limits in an extraordinary experience.
"Trail Amizmiz" is not limited to the sporting aspect; it carries a strong environmental message. The event includes campaigns to collect waste and clean waterways, alongside awareness activities aimed at participants and local residents about the importance of preserving nature.
Additionally, the event features a solidarity initiative that involves distributing mountain bikes to children in neighboring areas, helping them reach their schools more easily. Several rural educational institutions will also be renovated to support local education and enhance its infrastructure.
