Reports indicate that Ajax is pressing for a professional contract with Wazzan.
According to media sources, Abdullah Wazzan, an Ajax player, currently lacks a professional contract with the Dutch club, which could put the team at risk of losing the services of the Moroccan under-17 national team player next summer.
The website “africafoot” reported that Ajax officials have repeatedly asked Hussein Wazzan, the player’s father, to initiate negotiations for a professional contract. However, he has refused and requested time to consider the matter, especially since many top European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, are closely monitoring his son.
The same source explained that Wazzan’s father is unhappy with Ajax’s stance, which has long downplayed his son’s potential and has refrained from offering a professional contract in recent months.
The website also noted that Ajax Amsterdam may regret not recognizing Wazzan’s talent earlier, suggesting that everything points to the player’s next destination being outside the Netherlands.
It is worth mentioning that Abdullah Wazzan was awarded the Best Player award at the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025,” following strong performances with the “Atlas Cubs,” which has drawn interest from major European clubs.
