In Greece, ChatGPT Causes Couple’s Divorce

After 12 years of marriage, a Greek woman divorced her husband as soon as she was informed by the chat robot ChatGPT that he was cheating on her. According to “Audity Central,” the events unfolded when the wife asked ChatGPT, following a popular trend on social media, to interpret her coffee cup, adding a modern touch to an ancient practice known as tasseography. She uploaded pictures of the coffee grounds in her cup to the application for the chat program to read and analyze.

The AI chatbot claimed that the husband was in a relationship with another woman whose name starts with the letter “E,” and that this mysterious woman was planning to destroy their family. Although the husband laughed off this claim as “nonsense,” his wife took it seriously and immediately asked him to leave their home. She also informed their children that she and their father wanted a divorce and even contacted a lawyer.

For his part, the husband was reportedly shocked when he received the divorce papers just three days later. His lawyer noted that the claims made by ChatGPT had no legal basis and insisted that his client was innocent until proven guilty.
