Round 29 Summary: Two Wins for Wydad and Army, Second Place Decision Postponed

On Thursday, seven matches were played as part of Round 29 of the professional league, witnessing crucial victories for both the Royal Army and Wydad Athletic Club in their battle for the second qualifying spot for the Champions League, while Moghreb Tétouan and Chabab Soualem continued to struggle at the bottom of the standings.

The "Soldiers" succeeded in defeating Moghreb Tétouan with a score of 2-1, with goals scored by Youssef El Fahli from a penalty kick and Congolese Joel Beya, while Mohamed Nahiri netted a goal for the visitors.

Wydad maintained its pursuit of the Rabat-based team, achieving a vital win at the municipal stadium in Berrechid, also with a score of 2-0, thanks to goals from South African Kaysous Maelola and his teammate Abdel Moneim Boutayeb.

Fath Rabat also secured an important victory over Hassania Agadir with a score of 2-1, while Nahda Zemamra triumphed over Ittihad Touarga with a clean sheet of 3-0; Raja also earned points in their match against Difaa El Jadidi, winning 3-2.

The determination of the second, third, and fourth places is postponed until the final round of the national championship, while both Ittihad Touarga and Ittihad Tangier have officially secured their stay in the first division. Meanwhile, Hassania Agadir will officially play two relegation matches against the fourth-placed team from the second division.

In a critical match, Moghreb Tétouan will host Chabab Soualem to determine who will fall and who will play in the relegation match in the final round.
