In the Ainassi neighborhood of Casablanca, a shocking murder occurred in the early hours of Thursday, May 8, resulting in the death of a woman in her seventies at the hands of her son.
Local sources revealed that the victim sustained a fatal stab wound to the heart with a sharp weapon, causing severe injuries. She was found inside the family home, lying in a pool of her own blood around 1 a.m.
Police and civil defense units quickly arrived at the scene, and the victim was transported to the emergency room of a hospital in the Sidi M’men area. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries there.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the perpetrator attempted to flee with his minor daughter to the Oulad Ziyan station to leave the city. However, members of the anti-gang unit managed to apprehend him before he could execute his plan, and he was taken to the judicial police station in the Bernoussi area.
The suspect is currently held in custody for further investigation pending his presentation to the public prosecutor.
